About Solitaire
Play Klondike solitaire online free in your browser — no download, no sign-up, just a fresh shuffle and a green felt table. This is the classic patience game everyone knows: seven tableau columns, a draw-1 stock, and four foundations waiting for aces.
The rules are timeless. Stack cards in descending order with alternating colors — a red queen on a black king, a black jack on a red queen. Uncover face-down cards to open up the board, and send aces up to the foundations the moment they appear. Build each foundation from ace to king in a single suit and the game is yours.
Scoring follows the classic standard: 10 points for every card promoted to a foundation, 5 for useful tableau moves and flips, and a time bonus that rewards fast, clean wins — so the leaderboard isn't just about winning, it's about winning with style. Tap any card to send it to its best spot automatically, drag whole runs between columns, and undo freely when you paint yourself into a corner. Stuck? The hint button highlights the best available move. When every card is face-up, one tap on AUTO finishes the game for you with a satisfying cascade.
Choose your challenge in the menu: relaxed draw 1 solitaire (one card per flip, the casual web standard) or classic draw 3 solitaire (three cards at a time, the harder turn-three rules from the original desktop game). Your choice is remembered, and local statistics track your games, win rate, best score and fastest win.
Plays beautifully on desktop and mobile, free forever.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this solitaire game free to play online?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up and no payment. Open the page and a fresh deal is waiting. Signing in is only needed if you want your wins on the leaderboard.
Can I play Klondike solitaire with no download?
Absolutely. The game runs directly in your browser on desktop and mobile, so there is nothing to install — it works on any modern phone, tablet or computer.
What are the rules of Klondike solitaire?
Stack tableau cards in descending order with alternating colors, move only kings to empty columns, and build the four foundations from ace to king in a single suit. Draw from the stock one card at a time; recycling the empty stock costs 100 points.
How does scoring work?
Classic standard scoring: +10 for each card moved to a foundation, +5 for waste-to-table moves and for flipping a hidden card, −15 for taking a card back off a foundation and −100 per stock recycle. Winning adds a time bonus of up to 5,000 points — the faster you finish, the bigger the bonus.
Is every solitaire deal winnable?
No — like the physical game, a small share of random Klondike deals are unwinnable no matter how well you play. Unlimited free undo lets you backtrack and try a different line before you redeal.
What is the difference between draw 1 and draw 3 solitaire?
In draw 1 you flip one stock card at a time and can play every card you see — the relaxed, beginner-friendly mode. In draw 3 (classic turn-three Klondike) you flip three cards at once but only the top one is playable, so far fewer cards are reachable each pass. You can switch between both modes in the menu and your choice is saved.
Is there a hint button?
Yes — press H or tap HINT and the game highlights the best available move: foundation promotions first, then moves that uncover hidden cards. Hints are free and don't affect your score.
