Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PixelDen ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

PixelDen is a browser-based pixel art gaming platform that provides free-to-play games, leaderboards, achievements, and user profiles. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

3. User Accounts

  • Accounts are created via Google or Discord OAuth
  • On first login you will be asked to choose a public nickname; you can change it at any time from your profile Settings
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not create accounts for the purpose of abusing the Platform
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

3a. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your display name, email, avatar, XP, titles, streaks, and daily challenge progress are removed right away. Your existing game scores remain on the leaderboard, but are re-attributed to an anonymous Deleted User entry so public rankings and statistics stay consistent. Deletion cannot be undone — signing in again with the same provider creates a brand new empty profile. See the Privacy Policy for a full breakdown.

4. User Conduct

  • Do not attempt to manipulate scores or leaderboards
  • Do not use automated tools or bots to play games
  • Do not upload inappropriate or offensive content as avatars
  • Do not harass other users

5. Intellectual Property

All games, artwork, and content on PixelDen are the property of their respective creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

6. Privacy & Advertising

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the Platform: your display name, nickname, email, and avatar from your OAuth provider. Game scores and achievements are stored in our database. Your email is treated as private and is never shown on public pages, leaderboards, or profiles. We do not sell personal data. We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Ad cookies are only enabled if you choose "Accept All" in our cookie consent banner. You can opt out at any time via your cookie preferences or Google Ads Settings.

7. Limitation of Liability

PixelDen is provided for entertainment purposes. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of data or service interruptions.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
