Challenge the built-in AI across three difficulties. Easy plays loose but never misses an obvious win or block, Medium reads several moves ahead like a solid club player, and Hard punishes every mistake with deep, centre-focused calculation. Beat a tougher AI in fewer moves to climb the leaderboard — only wins against the AI score, and a fast win on Hard is worth the most.
Prefer a human opponent? Local 2-Player mode turns it into a pass-and-play duel on one device: red versus gold, with a clear turn banner and an undo button for taking back misclicks. No account needed, no score pressure — just the classic head-to-head.

How do you play connect four?

How smart is the AI?
Three levels. Easy plays casually but always takes an open win and blocks yours. Medium searches several moves deep, like a decent human player. Hard searches deeper still with strong centre play — it rarely loses and makes you earn every win.
How does scoring work?
Only wins against the AI submit a score. Harder difficulties have a much higher base score, and finishing in fewer moves adds a bonus — so a quick win on Hard is the best possible result.
What's the best strategy in connect four?
Control the centre column — more winning lines pass through it than any other. Build double threats (two ways to win at once), watch the diagonals, and always check what your opponent's last disc threatens before making your own plan.
