About Spire Tycoon
Spire Tycoon is an idle clicker built around one wizard tower and one five-minute timer. You start on a bare foundation with a single apprentice who conjures mana every time you tap. Spend that mana on floors and each one is stacked onto the tower where it produces mana by itself, second after second, whether you keep tapping or not. Cheap floors pay off fast, expensive floors pay off big, and every copy of the same floor costs a little more than the last, so the order you buy in matters.
Upgrades change the shape of the run. Sharper Quills multiplies your taps, Enchanted Ink and Mana Wells double every floor, the Owl Whistle makes the golden owl visit twice as often and Overclock triples everything in the final minute. The owl itself is the wildcard: it glides across the sky for a few seconds, and catching it with a click or a tap gives seven times mana for ten seconds. Miss it and it is gone.
When the clock hits zero the run ends and your score is the total mana produced. Nothing carries over between runs, so every attempt starts from the same empty foundation and the leaderboard compares honest five-minute sprints. Short runs, big numbers and a build order you can keep refining.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does one run of Spire Tycoon take?
Exactly five minutes. The countdown starts when you press Play and the run ends when it reaches zero, so a full game fits into a coffee break.
Does my tower carry over to the next run?
No. Every run starts from the same bare foundation with zero mana. Your best score is remembered, but the tower, floors and upgrades reset each time so the leaderboard compares equal five-minute sprints.
Should I keep tapping once I have floors?
Early on tapping is your main income, so tap a lot. Once floors produce more per second than your taps, tapping still helps, especially after the Sharper Quills upgrade and during an owl boost, but building and upgrading matters more.
What does the golden owl do?
The owl flies across the sky for about four seconds. Click or tap it and all mana income is multiplied by seven for ten seconds. If it leaves the screen you get nothing, and the Owl Whistle upgrade makes it visit twice as often.
What is the best build order?
Buy the cheapest floor that pays for itself quickly, then move up as your income grows. The floor multipliers Enchanted Ink and Mana Wells are worth grabbing as soon as you can, and Overclock is only useful if you buy it before the final minute.
Can I play Spire Tycoon on my phone?
Yes. On phones the game switches to a portrait layout with the shop as a bottom sheet, and tapping the tower or the owl works the same as clicking.
